Convert Word, Markdown, HTML and notebooks to PDF, or CSV and JSON to Excel

Choose PDF for a reading or printing copy, and XLSX for a table of values to sort or edit. Keep the original and test a small example first so that changes to formatting and data are easier to spot.

1. Match the source to the intended output

These tools process supported content from the file you select in this browser. PDF conversion lays out text and tables on new pages. If you need the exact print layout of the source application, use that application’s own PDF export.

Source and goalToolCheck first
Word DOCX → reading PDFDOCX to PDFParagraphs, basic tables, embedded PNG/JPEG. Not DOC, HWP or encrypted files
README or notes in MD → PDFMarkdown to PDFHeadings, lists, tables, code. No math typesetting or remote image loading
Saved HTML → PDFHTML to PDFReflowed text and basic tables. Not a URL fetcher or website screenshot
Analysis IPYNB → PDFJupyter notebook to PDFSaved code and outputs. No Python execution or output refresh
CSV or JSON values → XLSXCSV/JSON to ExcelReview columns and types. Not a PDF, chart or pivot-report generator

2. Compare a small table and paragraph first

Load the Markdown example to see how headings, bold text, tables and code are laid out. For your own test, start with a three-line table like the one below. Test HTML with a saved file containing a heading, paragraph and basic table. External CSS, images and scripts are outside this converter’s supported content.

Example inputCheck in the saved result
# Meeting notesThe heading is larger than body text
| Item | Quantity | | --- | --- | | Chair | 3 |Header and body appear in two columns
Confirmed **Friday**Only Friday is bold

3. Check PDF page boundaries

For DOCX, Markdown and HTML, choose paper, orientation, margins and font size, then browse the PDF preview. For wide tables, compare landscape paper or a smaller font and check the last column and row. For notebooks, set paper, margins and code wrapping, then inspect the downloaded PDF in a viewer. Table headers may repeat on subsequent pages.

Merged cells, nested tables, complex columns, formulas, Word headers and footnotes may change or be unsupported. Review every page, especially numbers, names and images, and reopen the downloaded PDF in another viewer. A signature drawing in the PDF editor is not a certified digital signature.

4. Separate identifiers from quantities in XLSX

CSV and JSON do not carry Excel formatting. Check column names and the delimiter. CSV values are preserved as text by default; native JSON numbers and booleans retain their types. Numeric conversion applies to numeric-looking strings across the whole table. Leave it off when the table contains identifiers you need to preserve.

Source valueMeaningExpected check
00123Postal code or product identifierA text cell retaining the leading zeros
9007199254740993Long identifierA text cell with every digit intact
=SUM(A1:A2)Original text resembling a formulaA text cell, not an executable formula
12.5A quantity for sums and averagesA numeric cell if numeric conversion was selected

5. Handle large files and first-use font loading

File, text, table, image and page limits differ by tool. Check the limits beside the input and retry with a copy containing only what you need. Markdown, HTML and notebook PDFs allow up to 16 million pixels per image and 32 million combined; DOCX allows 8 million per image and 24 million combined. A small compressed photo can still exceed the pixel limit.

PDF generation may initially load Korean/Latin fonts of about 2 MB per weight and additional CJK and other fonts of about 6.5 MB per required weight. Requests use fixed font bundles, not URLs derived from input characters. Unsupported font characters produce an error. Complex or unsupported structures may be simplified or omitted with a notice. Cancel, keep the original, and reduce the copy before trying again.

6. Continue according to the result format

Use the PDF tools to reorder, merge or selectively compress the result. Text extraction needs a PDF containing text; extracting a scan does not add OCR. For document photos, correct borders and brightness with the document scanner before assembling an image PDF.

After creating XLSX, reopen it in the spreadsheet viewer to review rows and columns. Keep the original, downloaded copy and final submission separate while reviewing. The related tools below let you continue the operation you need.
