How to use this tool
- Choose a DOCX file or open the example. Inspect headings, tables, pictures and conversion notes in Read content.
- Set A4/Letter, orientation, margins and body size in PDF options. Try landscape for a wide table.
- Create the PDF and browse Output PDF. Check every table column, picture and the final paragraph.
- Download and reopen the PDF. Compare with Word export when the original print layout is required.

Read document content and reflow it into PDF
Use this for a readable PDF copy of a text-focused Word note without installing an editor. Paragraphs, headings, basic lists and tables, and embedded PNG/JPEG pictures are reflowed to paper. Bold, italic, basic alignment, line breaks and explicit page breaks are supported. Supported body text is saved as PDF text with supplied fonts.
This is not Word’s print engine. Specified fonts, exact font sizes, colors, borders, cell widths, columns, floating pictures and merged cells can differ. Headers, footers, notes, comments, charts, equations, text boxes and embedded objects are not reproduced. For review, submission or contracts where original layout matters, compare with the PDF exported by Word or the authoring application.
Inspect content and actual output pages separately
Read content is a quick preview of paragraphs, basic tables and pictures. Large documents show only part of the content on screen, while PDF creation uses all supported content. After creating the PDF, open Output PDF to inspect the actual page count and saved content.
For wide tables, try landscape orientation or smaller text/margins. Images keep their proportions while fitting the body width and page height; long paragraphs and tables continue onto subsequent pages. Nested/merged tables may be simplified, and pictures inside cells can move after the table. Check the warnings and source when formatting matters.
Processing limits and inactive document content
Limits are one 20 MB DOCX, 40 MB expanded, 600 archive entries, 12 MB per entry and 8 MB XML parts. Supported content is capped at 400,000 characters, 3000 blocks, 10,000 table cells (1500 rows and 20 columns per table) and 50 PNG/JPEG images: 8 MB/8 million pixels each, 16 MB/24 million pixels total. Reading has a 30-second limit; PDF creation has a two-minute limit and supports up to 200 pages/75 MB.
Document HTML, XML, scripts and macros are never executed as page content. External pictures, connections, templates and hyperlink targets are neither fetched nor copied; displayed hyperlink text can remain. Encrypted documents, older DOC files and macro-enabled documents are unsupported. Protection is not bypassed.
Documents and results remain in tab memory, without uploads, automatic storage or analytics transmission. A separate PDF is downloaded without overwriting the source. Choosing another document or changing settings removes the previous download. Save the result before closing or refreshing the page.
Common questions
Do I need Word installed to convert a DOCX?
No. Your browser reads the DOCX and creates the PDF without installing an editor or uploading to a conversion server. Use the authoring application’s PDF export when exact Word print layout is required.
Will this match a PDF saved by Word exactly?
No. Text, basic tables and images are reflowed using the supplied fonts and your selected paper. Fonts, line breaks and page counts can differ. Use Word’s own PDF export when exact print layout matters and compare the results.
Can I use older DOC or password-protected Word documents?
Only DOCX is supported. Save older DOC files as DOCX in the authoring application. If authorized and you know the password, use a copy unlocked in the original application. Macro-enabled documents are not accepted.
Are links, macros or external pictures executed?
No. Only embedded PNG/JPEG pictures are read; external images, macros, connections and embedded objects are excluded. Hyperlink display text can remain, but no clickable target is created in the PDF.
