How to use this tool
- Open a spreadsheet, CSV/TSV file or the example. If CSV text or columns look wrong, adjust reading options and reload.
- Choose a sheet and find exact values or substrings. Browse 50-row pages or jump to a page number.
- Optionally export the entire selected sheet as CSV. Export is not limited to search matches and excludes formulas and formatting.
Find Engineering scores in a CSV
- Input and settings
- Name,Team,Score Minsu,Design,85 Jane,Engineering,92 Jiwoo,Engineering,88
- Result
- Substring search for Engineering → Jane 92 and Jiwoo 88
Open a UTF-8 CSV with these values and search its displayed data. CSV export includes the entire selected sheet, not just the two matching rows.
A read-only view of stored data
Inspect saved spreadsheet values without installing a spreadsheet application. Switch sheets, search exact values or substrings, browse 50-row pages and jump directly to a page. Long cells scroll internally so their full text remains readable; numeric cells align right. CSV/TSV encoding and delimiters are detected automatically. If text or columns look wrong, choose them explicitly in CSV reading options and reload.
This is not an Excel replacement that reproduces merged cells, charts, shapes, colors, column widths, print layout or hidden settings. Stored values from hidden rows, columns and sheets may be shown. Check sensitive documents in their original application before sharing.
Formulas and format differences
Formulas are never calculated. Cached results stored in a document are displayed where available; a missing cached result may appear blank. External workbooks and connections are not fetched, and VBA macros or other code never run. Stored display strings are preferred for dates and numbers, which can differ from the original application.
Limits are 15 MB, 24 sheets, 10,000 rows/100 columns per sheet, 50,000 cells and one million characters overall. ZIP-based documents are checked against declared and actual expansion limits of 48 MB and 1,200 entries before reading in a time-limited worker. Encrypted documents and some damaged or specialized formats are unsupported.
CSV export and privacy
CSV contains only stored values from the entire selected sheet, encoded as UTF-8. It does not include multiple sheets, formulas or formatting. Text beginning with = + - @ that a spreadsheet application might interpret as a formula is prefixed with an apostrophe; plain numbers such as -5 are preserved. Check the download because this protection can alter the original text.
Files are read in your browser and are not sent to a server, analytics, the URL or persistent storage. Cancelling or failing to load another document preserves the previously loaded one. Downloaded CSV remains on your device and the source file is not changed.
Common questions
Does the viewer fix or update formulas?
No. It reads saved results without calculating or editing. Recalculate and save in Excel or LibreOffice when fresh results are needed.
Can I export only search results?
CSV export currently saves the entire selected sheet. Use search to locate data on screen, then filter the exported CSV in a spreadsheet application if needed.
Can I view charts and cell colors?
This is a data-value viewer. Charts, colors, merged cells and formatting are not reproduced. Use the original application for exact visual layout or printing.
What if CSV characters look wrong or columns appear in one cell?
Choose the encoding, such as UTF-8 or CP949, and the comma, tab, semicolon or pipe delimiter in CSV reading options, then reload. Renaming an extension does not change the file’s encoding or separator.
