Where the displayed text comes from
For HWP 5, body sections and paragraph-text records are read from the OLE container. For HWPX, only text from section XML is extracted from the ZIP. Document XML and scripts are never executed as page markup; extracted strings appear in a read-only text area.
If only stored preview text is available, that limitation is shown above the result. A preview may be a partial snapshot saved by the authoring application; it is not assumed to equal the complete body. Image-only scans do not become text here, and OCR is not included.
Layout and format boundaries
This viewer is intended for quickly reading text and finding passages. Table-cell reading order, shapes, notes, columns, equations and page numbering can differ from the original layout. Open the original in an appropriate application for submission, printing or contract checks requiring accurate formatting.
Older formats such as HWP 3, encrypted files and distribution-protected files are unsupported. Limits are a 30 MB file, sixteen MB of expanded text data and one million output characters, processed in a separate worker with a time limit. Protection is not bypassed and files are not sent to an external conversion service.
Common questions
Will it look exactly like a Hangul application?
No. This tool reads body text without reproducing fonts, table widths, images or pagination. Use it for reading passages or exporting text.
How do I copy a matching passage?
Enter a phrase and choose Find next to select a match. Press Ctrl/Cmd+C for that passage, or use Copy text for the whole extracted body.
