Basic estimate for KRW 48 million
- Input and settings
- Annual gross KRW 48,000,000; no exempt pay; one eligible person; all three insurance categories enabled
- Result
- Approximately KRW 3,379,131 per month under the 2026 basic annual model
Assumes constant pay for all 12 months, without additional deductions or special relief.
Monthly withholding versus an annual average
Employers may use a monthly withholding table and later settle tax using actual deductions. This model instead subtracts earned-income, personal and social-contribution deductions from annual taxable pay, applies ordinary rates and the earned-income credit, then divides by 12.
Pension income limits change in July, so the two six-month periods are computed separately. Bonuses concentrated in particular months or partial-year employment do not follow this constant-pay annual assumption.
Entering exempt pay and extra deductions
Exemption depends on eligibility rather than the pay-item name alone. The entered exempt amount is assumed to be included in gross salary and is subtracted from taxable annual pay. Twelve months of exempt pay cannot exceed the salary.
Include yourself in the basic-deduction count, and only add people satisfying the actual income and age conditions. Child, marriage, rent and standard credits or special relief are not inferred, so use the additional-deduction fields only for applicable amounts.
Common questions
Why does this differ from my payslip?
The calculation divides an annual estimate rather than looking up monthly withholding. Compare the employer’s deduction conventions, reported insurance remuneration and payment timing with your payslip.
Can the same rates be used for a 2027 salary?
The stated policy year is 2026. Pension and health contribution changes or tax rules for another year are not automatically incorporated.
