Files and page settings

25 MB per file · 75 MB total

Files are processed in this tab. Adding files clears the preceding edit-undo history.

Processing limits, storage and format notes

Each input is limited to 25 MiB (shown as 25 MB), with a 75 MiB input total and one PDF. Generated files together and the ZIP individually are also capped at 75 MiB. Processing may still fail within these caps if the browser lacks available memory.

Each source PDF and the total currently loaded source-page count are capped at 500. Password-protected PDFs are rejected and no password is collected.

Input files and results are not sent to an external service or written to browser persistent storage. Editing, undo and previews use this tab’s memory and are cleared when leaving the page. Downloaded files remain on your device.

Cancellation is checked between processing stages and may take a moment during a large save or ZIP operation.

Page content is rendered with PDF.js. Damaged documents or files with specialized features may not display correctly.

Originals are not overwritten. Reloading or closing clears files and results from this tab; downloaded files remain on your device.

    How to use this tool

    1. Open one PDF and apply a page range or choose cards to include.
    2. Review order and rotation, then choose PNG or JPG and a rendering resolution.
    3. Review generated image sizes and save individual images or the complete ZIP.

Render a Letter page at twice its point dimensions

    Input and settings
    A 612×792-point page; 144 dpi; PNG
    Result
A 1224×1584-pixel PNG and a ZIP containing that image

Adding a 90-degree rotation swaps the dimensions to 1584×1224 pixels.

    Resolution determines the raster dimensions

A PDF point is 1/72 inch, so a 144-dpi render produces twice the page’s point dimensions in pixels. Available scales are 72, 108, 144, 216 and 300 dpi. A large sheet may exceed the pixel cap at a high setting; reduce the resolution or selected page count in that case.

The DPI choice controls rendering scale. Resolution metadata in the saved image is determined separately by the browser encoder and can differ from a printing application’s display. Increasing DPI also cannot invent detail that is absent from a small bitmap embedded in the source.

    Format and selection limits

PNG provides lossless raster encoding suitable for text and diagrams. JPG may be smaller for pages dominated by photographs. Both render against a white background. JPG quality affects each document differently and does not guarantee a particular size reduction.

A run is limited to 20 pages, 12 megapixels per page, 48 megapixels total and 10,000 pixels per side. Every selected page is checked before the large canvases are allocated. The PDF annotation and form-widget layer is excluded from rendering, so compare documents containing those features with the original viewer.

Retrieve the required pages from the image set

Result filenames include both output position and original page number, so a selection such as 3, 1 remains traceable. Saving the set in a separate folder can help keep it distinct from other downloads with similar names.

Changing the quality or format clears the result links and requires another render. Previously downloaded files are not replaced automatically; check the new file’s name and size to choose the intended version.

    Common questions

    Does this extract text?

No. It rasterizes whole pages and does not perform OCR or extract editable text.

Must I unzip the result for a single page?

Individual image links are provided too. Save only the file you need or use the ZIP for the complete set.
