Choose a readable size and position
Watermark size is proportional to the picture width, making a batch of different resolutions feel more consistent. Long text can extend beyond the image, so shorten it or reduce its size. Inspect both bright and dark photographs when choosing a text color.
What a watermark does
Text or a logo is composited into the exported pixels. A watermark is not access control and does not prevent copying or removal, register copyright, or prove ownership. The logo is read locally as well; choosing another logo or resetting releases the previous reference.
Common questions
Can I recover the unmarked photo?
Your original file is unchanged. The exported copy contains the watermark, so regenerate it from the original instead of trying to erase the mark from the saved copy.
