Legibility at favicon sizes
Long wording and thin lines may disappear at 16 pixels. Choose a clear silhouette with modest padding and inspect the 32px preview as well as the exported PNGs. The ICO contains 16, 32 and 48px PNG entries; support in every historical platform icon implementation is not guaranteed.
Generating files versus installing them
The ZIP includes PNGs, an ICO, a web manifest and an example set of link tags. Downloading it does not update a live site or its cache. Adjust paths to your deployment location and compare required properties before replacing a manifest that already exists.
Common questions
Can I use a wide logo?
Contain shows the whole logo with padding. Cover may crop a square from its center, so inspect the preview for important details before exporting.
