Read a Unix seconds value
- Input and settings
- 1700000000 seconds
- Result
- 2023-11-14T22:13:20.000Z
The final Z denotes UTC.
Processing rules and reading the result
Uses the Unix epoch and JavaScript Date. ISO input must include seconds and Z or a ±HH:MM offset. The local field follows this device’s time-zone/display settings.
Limits and checks before use
Seconds support three decimal places; milliseconds must be integral. Invalid dates, missing offsets and second 60 are rejected. Leap seconds, server-clock errors and business DST rules are not modeled.
Common questions
Can local output differ across devices?
Yes. UTC/Unix values remain the same, but local output depends on the device time zone. Include UTC or an offset in exchanged values.
