A character is separate from its appearance
A code point can look different across fonts and operating systems. A square placeholder may indicate a missing glyph. Copying produces Unicode text rather than an image of the symbol.
Compose symbols into text
Selections append to the composition box, where ordinary wording can be edited alongside them. Compositions are bounded to 2,000 characters and are not restored on reload. Search codes such as U+2192 or use Korean and English name keywords.
Common questions
Why is a copied symbol also appended to the composition?
The same action supports an immediate single-symbol copy and building a longer message. Clear the composition when unwanted or copy only an individual symbol.
