Text Convert Tools

Text processing tools: case conversion, find and replace, sorting and line break cleanup.

How to choose a tool

For representation only, use case, Roman numeral, initials, slug, or hashtag conversion. For document structure, use line sorting, deduplication, numbering, or newline removal. Find-and-replace changes every matching pattern and reverse changes character order, so meaning can change substantially. Special Characters is a reference for finding and copying symbols, not a conversion.

When cleaning a list, first decide how to handle blank lines and surrounding spaces, then inspect case and numeric order in the sort/deduplicate preview. Add line numbers afterward so removed duplicates do not leave wrong numbering. Before making a URL slug, check allowed characters and separators; changing an existing public URL also requires links and a redirect plan.

How to verify the result

Copy the original and test options on a short sample before bulk conversion. Check whether find-and-replace matches too broadly, newline removal keeps spaces between sentences, and reverse or initial extraction handles mixed emoji, combining marks, letters, and numbers. Compare the beginning, middle, and end before applying it to the whole document.

Case and word boundaries vary by language, and Roman numerals have limited ranges and conventions. Hashtag and slug output does not check each service's length, banned terms, or duplicate-URL policy. Do not overwrite the original: paste into a new file or field and review corrupted characters, links, search behavior, and changed meaning.
