Run a draw: participants, weights, constraints and result review

Agree on participants and rules before the animation starts. Define the unit being selected, whether repeated entries or weights are allowed, and whether winners will be excluded from later draws.

1. Define entries and duplicates

Use a nickname or number when two participants have the same name. Decide whether each input line is one entry and whether repeated names are allowed. When importing participants from photo filenames, check those names for personal information.

2. Understand marble counts and weights

In the marble race, *number specifies the marble count and /number specifies each marble’s selection weight. Increasing either can change a participant’s total share of the draw. Motion is an animation presenting the selected outcome; the physical appearance of a race is not a fairness guarantee.

3. Choose assignments or team constraints

A ladder connects participants and outcomes one to one and can reveal results individually. Team generation considers the team count and forbidden same-team pairs together. If the conditions are impossible or no arrangement is found within a bounded search, adjust the rules instead of accepting an output that silently ignores them.

4. Decide whether to exclude winners

Removing a roulette winner changes the candidates and probabilities in the next draw. Announce the rule before drawing and inspect remaining entries before spinning again. Skipping the animation does not alter the selected result.

5. Separate reproducibility from trust

A configuration and seed JSON file lets an execution be checked again. It can include participant names, so review it before saving or forwarding. Entries are not placed in URLs, but remain in a downloaded file. Reproducing an outcome alone does not prove that an organizer did not choose a favorable seed.
