How to use this tool
- Choose an integer range or a list of items.
- Set inclusive bounds or list contents, draw count and replacement policy.
- Press Draw randomly, then copy the selections or save a result file.
Choose six distinct numbers from 45
- Input and settings
- Minimum 1; maximum 45; count 6; without replacement
- Result
- Six distinct integers from 1–45; the values vary with each draw
The order is also drawn; this provides no prize prediction or probability advantage.
Define the population before drawing
Numeric minimum and maximum bounds are both inclusive. Without replacement, a number cannot be selected twice; with replacement it can recur. A unique draw is rejected if its count exceeds the population size.
A list uses one item per line, removing blank lines and surrounding whitespace. A unique draw also merges identical item text. Add identifying labels when two different candidates happen to share the same name.
Random generation and result handling
Cryptographic browser random values are sampled while rejecting the excess tail that cannot be divided evenly into the requested range. This avoids simple modulo bias; without-replacement draws remove selected positions in bounded work.
There are limits of 1,000 draws and 10,000 list items. Editing inputs does not silently trigger a fresh draw; you must press the button. This does not provide an official audit trail, third-party verification, reproducible seeds or a proof of fairness.
Common questions
Does Undo perform another draw?
No. It restores the preceding inputs and result held in this tab’s memory. Press Draw again when you want a fresh sample.
Should I use this to create passwords?
This tool selects integers or list items. For passwords, use the dedicated generator that handles password length and character groups.
