What are the IPv6 compression rules?
Leading zeros in each group are dropped, and if two or more consecutive groups are all zero, the longest run is shortened once with a double colon (::).
Can a compressed form be expanded?
Yes. Enter a compressed form with :: and it expands to the full 8 groups; enter the full form and it shortens to the standard compressed form.
Are the values I enter sent to a server?
